Akot, Executive Director of JumpStart Sudan, and his wife, Mary,
along with Debra Ross, JumpStart Sudan President and
International Missions Director at Indian Creek Community
Church, and Janis Ricker, JumpStart Sudan Treasurer, made the
annual mission trip to Africa. Akot, Mary and Debra went on to
Akon, while Janis worked to develop a partnership with a
nonprofit in the area.
The mission group distributed 1,500 school uniforms, but there
were still 183 who went without. They gave 50 T-shirts to the
two church choirs. Twenty Bibles, 65 Bible study books, pens and
notebooks were given to be used in Bible training. They
dispersed 500 blankets and 500 mosquito nets to the sick and
elderly.
