2005: First Bible training held in Akon, Sudan
Besides delivering medicine, medical supplies, school uniforms,
blankets and mosquito nets, JumpStart Sudan underwrote an eight-week
Bible training class in Akon. Fifty student leaders formed the
class taught by three trained evangelists teaching and sharing the
Word of God.
This training event provided support for the community not only by
teaching about Jesus but by providing jobs for women who cooked
meals for the students and by compensating the Akon Women's Center
for use of their space.
The Bible training was so well received that JumpStart Sudan was asked to expand it to a six-month program. |
