When Chris
Garang was only seven years old, his family's home was attacked and set on fire
by Arab Muslims. Chris ran for his life and has not seen or heard from his
family ever since. In 2001, he arrived in Tucson, Arizona, another Lost Boy of
Sudan. There he became a U.S. citizen and has been studying to become a nurse.
He also ended up being “adopted” by Carol Tierney and her family who are
supporting Chris’ desire to journey to Sudan to search for his family and to
offer his nursing services there to help his people.
