Mary Kuel stepped in to serve on the board as a
representative of the Sudanese when her husband, Akot Arec, founder and
Executive Director of JumpStart Sudan, was called to go to work with the new
government of southern Sudan.
Mary traveled to Akon, Sudan in 2007 to help supervise some facets of the clinic
project. In 2008, she helped organize local arrangements for Debra Ross'
trip to Akon to assess the clinic and its progress and served as an interpreter. |
